REMINDER Time Ltd has signed up education insurance services provider Insurer Connections to be its reseller partner for the education sector.

The move underlines the Uppermill firm’s commitment to demonstrating its messaging system as a cross-market product.

The new partnership means Insurer Connections, in the Earl Business Centre, Hathershaw, which has been providing incentivised insurance services to schools and colleges in the Oldham area for a number of years, will offer a broader portfolio of services to new and existing customers.

“Educational institutions throughout the UK are beginning to see the benefits of tapping into new methods of communication for reaching groups such as parents, pupils, governors, staff, PTA members and voluntary bodies,” explained Reminder Time managing director Nicola Jeffery-Sykes.

She believes that utilising methods such as email, text and voice-messaging assists schools and colleges at least some of the way towards meeting government targets regarding electronic communication, as well as reducing both financial and environmental costs by using less paper.

Ms Jeffery-Sykes added: “This is the beginning of a new chapter for Reminder Time as we spread outward from our roots in healthcare. To have Insurer Connections as our channel partner for education is a coup for us and a strategically-sound first step in this new market sector.”

Insurer Connections relationship manager Abed Iqbal said: “We are really looking forward to working with Reminder Time.

“Schools need as much income as possible. We want to be able to help them to provide for that school trip or piece of sports equipment. By helping schools achieve a return we are investing in children’s education.”

Reminder Time was established in 2003 from its sister company Claridata — which trades under the name EUHealth.net — to provide a solution to the problem of patients who do not attend appointments by utilising modern forms of communication including text, voice-messaging and email, to keep patients informed of upcoming clinical appointments.
