JORDAN FLint with the rookie golfers and Crompton and Royton
ROOKIE golfers have been receiving expert tuition from Crompton and Royton assistant professional, Jordan Flint.
Juniors have been introduced to the sport during coaching sessions on Saturdays.
They are conducted using the latest Junior Golf Passport designed by the Golf Foundation, and will continue for the next few Saturdays.
The new-look Passport scheme was introduced last month at the PGA Golf Show in Harrogate.
Crompton and Royton professional Martin Beaty signed up for it to make the High Barn club one of the first in the country to operate it.
Juniors are given the chance to map their progress in putting, short game, swing, course management, preparation, fitness and life skills.
Said Flint: “I was introduced to the game using the Passport scheme when I first started 11 years ago, so it's nice to see it still going strong and being improved throughout the years, giving youngsters a fun way to get into the game.
“The new scheme includes a number of different lessons and games to use along the way to make learning fun and ensure the juniors are encouraged and motivated to carry on playing the game.”
