LIGHTNING strike . . . on Oldham Road, Lydgate
Just when we thought the weather had made a turn for the better after the hotter temperatures over the course of the weekend, it looks like more rain is on the way.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for Greater Manchester with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected across a massive section of the country on Monday afternoon, evening and into Tuesday morning as well.
Forecasters are warning the heavy rain could bring with it some flash flooding in certain parts and it’s likely to cause disruption to travel especially on the region’s roads.
The rain is expected to continue into Tuesday for the Greater Manchester area before it clears on Wednesday with the sun expected to finally show itself on Thursday, Friday and into the weekend.
