There have been complaints about access into a temporary Portacabin Polling Station on Oozwood Road in Royton this afternoon.
The height of the step has meant voters, especially the elderly have been struggling to cast their vote.
Mr Nuttall from Royton contact the Chronicle to complain about access to the site. He told us "It was pouring with rain and an old man on two walking sticks couldn't get in. Someone had to bring a card to him so he could vote outside.
"It's happened for years, I used to bring my mum here about five years ago and it was exactly the same."
Mr Nuttall contacted Julie Bruce Head of Elections and Land Charges at Oldham Council who arranged to install a ramp at the site.
It's understood a ramp was placed at the cabin at around 4pm.
Polling stations are open until 10pm tonight for residents to cast their vote in the General Election.
