Saddleworth School Yr 8 Basketball Team
Saddleworth School Year 8s have retained their Oldham schools basketball title.
There were five teams participating, including Saddleworth, Crompton house, Waterhead Academy, Hulme and The Radclyffe school.
Each team played each other in a league format with the games lasting 12 minutes each.
Saddleworth secured comfortable victories in their opening three games to set up a winner takes all game against Crompton House in the final match. They had also won their opening three games.
A close encounter followed with Crompton house taking an early lead 4-2. Our boys eventually found their form and went on to complete the victory and claim the trophy with a 24-12 win.
