Suspected case of coronavirus at a surgery in Oldham
A doctor's surgery in Glodwick was temporarily closed over fears of a coronavirus case this morning (27th February).
An anonymous source told the Oldham Chronicle that at around 10am, a lady went into Glodwick Primary Care Centre with coronavirus symptoms.
The surgery has since reopened and refused to comment on the situation.
The UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the risk to the public from low to moderate. But the risk to individuals remains low.
The NHS is advising you to call 111 rather than go out in public places for advice.
The symptoms of coronavirus are a cough, a high temperature and shortness of breath but these symptoms do not necessarily mean you have the virus.
If you do have these symptoms and have recently returned from any area with confirmed cases or have been in close contact with anyone with confirmed coronavirus, call 111 immediately.
