Kelli Stephans, a professional vocalist from Oldham performed for residents at Moss Cottage Nursing Home in Ashton.
"Bring Me Sunshine" was set up by Kelli to provide entertainment and music therapy for people with Dementia, Alzheimers and Parkisnons living in care homes.
Kelly told the Chronicle: "Music truly is a magical gift. With each performance we see amazing tranformations.
"Loved ones who spend their days quiet and withdrawn due to these conditions, suddenly come alive and reminisce through the power of music. The joy this creates between families is amazing.
"We have grown to be so much more than a service.
"Our performances now enable families to come together in safe environments to create wonderful new memories with loved ones who now find it very difficult in social situations.
"During the lockdown period we have provided homes with alternative options, such as live performances "through the window" where it’s been safe to do so, and live online streamed shows through Facebook, Zoom and Skype.
"We also worked with local foodbanks and support groups to distribute food donations and PPE to homes that needed it."
Kelli delighted residents in the car park with a set of classic songs from the 50s and 60s, as guests and staff - looked on. Matt Ramsbottom, MD of the Oldham Chronicle and Revolution96.2 provided music and support from the branded station truck.
Matt told us: "I was delighted to hear from Kelli and jumped at the chance to support her very worthwhile cause. It was an enjoyable afternoon during otherwise difficult times"
