The amusing Santa has appeared outside the Junction Inn at Denshaw
Santa Claus has crash-landed outside a Saddleworth pub... and that’s official.
The amusing tableau has appeared outside the Junction Inn at Denshaw and, despite being under current covid restrictions, Santa and his plane, complete with realistic sacks of presents, is raising smiles from passing travellers.
Meanwhile, as part of a Churches Together initiative across the community, a host of laminated Ángels with messages of peace and goodwill have been gathering on railings at Saddleworth Parish Church in Uppermill.
And Joan Reed, treasurer of the Saddleworth Carers Group, has taken almost 40 handmade Ángels of Tranquillity and Bells of Peace to nearly 40 members as a special Yuletide treasure.
