Police name five year old boy found dead in Oldham

Police investigation continues
Detectives investigating the death of a school boy in Oldham on New Year's Eve have named him as Dylan Scanlon.
The five year old boy was found at a property in the Limeside area.
It was at around 6.20pm on Friday, December 31, when officers were called to the house by members of the ambulance service who were responding to an incident on Elm Road.
Dylan was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and an investigation began into the circumstances surrounding his passing.
Detective Chief Inspector Alicia Smith, of GMP's Major Incident Team, said: "Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time and they are being supported by specialist officers.
"An investigation by a dedicated team into Dylan's death is ongoing and the family is being kept fully informed."
A woman in her 30s has been detained under the mental health act.
Greater Manchester Police has also confirmed the incident has been referred to GMP's Professional Standards Branch and the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
