Discover your past and trace the story of your ancestors, as part of the upcoming Family History Festival, running from Monday 21 – Saturday 26 March 2022.
With various sessions taking place across Oldham’s Libraries and at Oldham Local Studies and Archives this is a good opportunity, if you’re thinking of uncovering the story of your family’s past.
The Festival will include workshops on how you can trace your First World War ancestors; expert advice on hand for those looking start their research; and with lots of resources available on-line there will also be the opportunity to find out more about Oldham Libraries’ online offer.
Help is also on hand if you wish to digitise your family history as a back-up for any photographs and documents in your possession.
For those of you worried about going online to do your research, Oldham Libraries are offering many free Online Basics courses at libraries across the borough.
