Local Link minibuses providing temporary cover for bus routes in Rochdale and Shaw

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is running minibuses to cover several bus routes in Rochdale and Shaw until the end of July.

The R1/R8, R9/R10 and 457 services operated by Rosso are being replaced in the evenings by Local Link until Saturday, July 23, with regular services resuming on Sunday, July 24.

Local Link allows anyone living in areas underserved by public transport services to book shared minibuses for local journeys.

Pre-booking is required for Local Link and the service will run at similar times to previous timetables.

The operating hours are as follows:

457 (Littleborough – Shore – Caldermoor – Stansfield – Rochdale) – 6.50pm to 11.55pm

R1 (Rochdale – Rochdale Infirmary – Shawclough – Buckley – Syke) – 6.45pm to 10.55pm

R8 (Rochdale – Broadhalgh – Bamford – Shawfield – Norden) – 6.45pm to 10.55pm

R9 (Rochdale – Shaw – Buckstones Estate – Turf Hill circular) – 7.05pm to 11pm

R10 (Rochdale Turf Hill – Shaw – Newhey – Milnrow circular) – 7.05pm to 11pm

Journeys can be booked between one hour and seven days before you want to travel, with pick-up arranged within 10 minutes either side of the agreed time.
