A huge cannabis farm was discovered by police who raided an address in Hathershaw this morning (Friday).
A post on GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: "The Central Neighbourhood Policing Team have executed a section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address in Hathershaw earlier today.
"A cannabis farm was found and one person has been arrested and is currently in Police custody."
Meanwhile, as part of GMP's Operation Vortex, neighbourhood officers carried out a separate warrant in the Greenfield area, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
A quantity of drugs was seized from that location.
Police officers from the Oldham East area - Waterhead, St James', Saddleworth and Lees neighbourhood teams - are completing a day of action today.
