Rowan Ashworth Ltd have announced that they are to become Platinum Patrons of Mahdlo Youth Zone, and will match fund any pledges made or donations received by the charity until March 31, 2023.

An ambitious fundraising target of £25,000 has been set, with individuals, businesses, schools and members of the Oldham community being urged to get involved.

The Civil Engineering company was founded by Rowan Ashworth in 2001 and prides itself on having an ethos for providing a local construction company for local clients with a local skilled workforce.

The company is expanding, but still maintains its core values which is to provide clients with a highly experienced and professional team delivering a quality product, safely and on time.

Rowan Ashworth, Managing Director, said: "We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to be able to financially contribute to Mahdlo and support the fantastic work the Youth Zone provides.

"We are committed to supporting Mahdlo on an annual basis for the foreseeable future.”

Lucy Lees, CEO at Mahdlo, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rowan Ashworth to the Mahdlo family of patrons.

"As the charity responds to meet the needs of our young people and their families whilst they face the impact of the cost of living crisis, we need local support more than ever.

"Working across the borough of Oldham it is vital that as many businesses and individuals support our work and have an impact on the thousands of young people that access Mahdlo’s services.”

Amos Brooks, Community Fundraiser at Mahdlo, added: "There are so many ways to get involved whether that’s signing up for our Yellow v Grey day on March 31, making a direct donation, taking on a personal challenge or organising an event it really doesn’t matter, every penny will be doubled.

"All we ask is that you pledge by March 31 and pay the amount to the charity by June 30.

"We’ve lots of fundraising ideas on our website: www.mahdloyz.org or get in touch to sign up and talk through your plans.”
