Best Food Logistics gave a substantial donation of items to the rescue team
Oldham Mountain Rescue Team have said a massive collective 'thank you' to kind-hearted local companies who help support the volunteer heroes.
For example, Best Food Logistics gave a substantial donation of items, including bottled water, paper towels and cleaning products.
Rob Tortoiseshell, the team’s leader, said: "The team is almost entirely funded by generous public donations such as these and we could not keep the team running without this type of support."
Last year, the rescue team took delivery of a new minibus (above) to replace their old vehicle, which sadly had to be retired after failing its MOT.
This week the team were delighted to say a temporary goodbye to the new minibus as it was collected by specialist vehicle convertor North Fire, to be modified for the team’s use.
Rob added: “A big thank you to the North Fire team for their support on this project and we will keep our supporters updated with the progress.”
