Youth Travel Ambassadors at Saddleworth School have been awarded ‘Good Travel Plan’ by Modeshift STARS accreditation for their efforts to increase levels of walking, cycling and other forms of sustainable travel.
This is the second year the students have been rewarded for their hard work, and it has been a year of working with Bee Network on their Youth Ambassadors Programme.
That will finish on July 5 with a presentation in Manchester.
The students have seen a reduction in cars near the school site and an increase in walking to school.
