Some presents won’t be getting delivered this year thanks to Greater Manchester Police officers in Oldham who, while out on patrol, observed a female approach a parked Volkswagen Golf with two occupants inside.
On thorough inspection and after running some tests, the vehicle and occupants were identified as being involved in the supply of illegal drugs.
The vehicle was brought to a safe stop, and both males were detained for the purpose of a Section 23 drugs search.
Initially, only a small amount of cannabis was found however, a more thorough search by officers located a hide within the vehicle, where they recovered approximately 100 wraps of heroin and cocaine, seized three mobile phones as well as £200-£300 cash.
The class A substances were concealed within Lynx fragrance deodorant and WD-40 cannisters – and so officers ensured the suspects received some stiff justice.
Both males were subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and the vehicle was seized for having no insurance.
PC Patel, from GMP’s Operation Venture, said: “Once again this job highlights how effective our proactive patrols are in clamping down on those intent on committing crime.
