Man due in court on GBH, affray and a drugs charge

Hesketh has been remanded to custody until his next appearance at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today
A man has been charged following an assault in Oldham on Friday evening.
Harry Hesketh (aged 21), of Plane Road in Failsworth, has been charged with GBH, affray and possession of a class A substance.
He has been remanded to custody until his next appearance at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).
These charges relate to an incident on Friday, October 31, whereby an officer was injured while trying to de-escalate an altercation on Oldham Road.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information regarding the above incident to contact police on 101 quoting log 4135 of 31/10/25.
A licensed premises has been given an initial closure notice of 48 hours, pending a court hearing at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today in relation to this incident.
