Police step up appeal following now-fatal collision in Failsworth

A man who was arrested on suspicion of driving offences has since been released on police bail
Greater Manchester Police officers are continuing to appeal for information following a now-fatal collision between a car and pedestrian on Albert Street West in Failsworth last Wednesday (January 7).
At around 3pm that day, a woman, aged 90, was struck by a reversing vehicle.
She was taken to hospital in a serious condition, where she sadly later died from her injuries yesterday (Tuesday).
A man, aged 37, who was arrested on suspicion of driving offences has since been released on police bail.
As officers progress their investigation, GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are continuing to appeal for information as they continue with their work.
This includes anyone who believes they saw the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the incident itself, or have dashcam footage or CCTV of the incident.
