A post on the GMP Saddleworth and Lees Facebook page read: "As the local schools get back to full capacity and some normality, we have received several complaints regarding inconsiderate or obstructive parking.
"This includes parking on the school chevrons and obstructing residential driveways - both of which can obscure the visibility of drivers and pedestrians, putting lives at risk.
"Please be considerate when parking outside schools - sometimes nearest is not always best."
Clearly, some locals agree with the police post.
One person responded: "Nightmare at St Mary's, Greenfield at pick up."
Another wrote: "Same at Chads - they should be walking."
One replied: "Thomas St, Lees, you can hardly walk on the path."
Meanwhile, following community concerns about speeding, the Saddleworth West and Lees policing team have been in hotspot locations this morning (Wednesday) to reduce, educate and where necessary, enforce speed limits.
