Tameside League action
The game of the day was the Under 19's Chaddy Park Derby between the Cobras and the Eagles and it certainly didn't disappoint in what was a cracking game for the neutrals not so sure about the parents or coaches.
The Cobras hit the ground running and found themselves 1-0 up after a low finish from Josh Corcoran in the opening 2 minutes.
Both teams started to create chances and in the 26th minute the Eagles drew level when Bailey Davies found Will Greenhalgh who fired past the Cobras keeper to make it 1-1.
The scored remained 1-1 at half time though both teams had chances to take the lead.
On the hour mark and the Cobras made it 2-1 when Kameron Howarth capitalised on the Eagles not clearing the ball with a good finish.
But the Eagles levelled seven minutes later when Greenhalgh played the ball to Brandon Reavey who scored from a tight angle into the roof of the net to make it 2-2.
Three minutes later and the Eagles took the lead for the first time when a superb cross from Reavey found Greenhalgh who turned his defender to fire the past the keeper to make it 3-2.
The end to end action continued and the Cobras levelled with just seven minutes remaining when Nathan May punished a mistake by the Eagles keeper and the ball rolled into the net to make the final score 3-3.
A fair result for both teams who put on a fantastic display with the game played in a hard but fair manner with both teams showing respect to each other.
