Golden days off to a great start at Cotton Rooms

Date published: 27 November 2018

The opening night at the Cotton Rooms' new 'Golden Cotton Club' proved to be a roaring success.

Among lots of other exciting planned events at the Oldham town centre venue, the 'Golden Cotton Club' will be a monthly event laid on in conjunction with the popular Glen Girls.

The launch event included a fish, chips and peas lunch, tea/coffee and biscuits, a prize raffle and 60’s rock and roll themed entertainment with special guests.

The guest of honour was the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Javid Iqbal, and he certainly got into the swing along with the enthusiastic audience.

Preston-born entrepreneur, Nages Karri, and the Cotton Rooms have teamed up to create an events venue where the exceptional happens.

Nages, previously an active board member of the Telugu Community Association in Preston and a Consultant in International Business, has been looking to get involved with a venture that will be of benefit to a local community.

The Cotton Rooms are more than just a suite of functions rooms.

By having a modern concept built upon the values of yesteryear’s social clubs and pubs, it is helping communities to come together with celebrating their special moments, such as weddings and parties, dining experiences with friends and neighbours and a theatre of fun – whether that’s attending a cabaret/tribute act, local amateur production or a school’s presentation evening.
