Athletic bid to reach Checkatrade Trophy knockout stage
Date published: 30 October 2018
Entry to tonight’s game is pay at the gate only.
Athletic are back in Checkatrade Trophy action tonight at home against Everton’s under-21s (7.30pm kick-off).
A much-needed victory would see Frankie Bunn’s men qualify for the knockout phase of the competition.
Bunn’s side will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Northampton Town.
The hosts will take confidence from their last outing in the Trophy, however, after they dismantled Bradford City 4-1 in Yorkshire thanks to goals from Callum Lang, Mohamed Maouche and a Sam Surridge brace.
There will be a minute's silence ahead of tonight's game and the players will be wearing black armbands as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the tragic events that happened at Leicester City on Saturday evening.
Entry to tonight’s game is pay at the gate only.
