Latics' Fan Bar to be sponsored by DK Services

Date published: 20 September 2023

Latics chiefs have welcomed DK Services as the new sponsor of the Fan Bar at Boundary Park.

The bar equipment supplier, based in Ashton, has a wealth of experience of working with a range of businesses including pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes.

The name of DK Services will now feature in the new title of the Fan Bar, as well as appearing around the area.

They become first sponsor of the Fan Bar, which has continued to grow in popularity since opening at the start of last season.

The DK Services Fan Bar is now open before and after every home game, offering a range of drinks and food, with live sport shown on the two big screens which are now in place.

Refurbishments within the past 12 months include the addition a new bar and plans are also in place to increase its capacity.

DK Services Director Danny Knight, a lifelong Latics fan, said: “I’ve been a supporter of the club for over 30 years and this is an ideal opportunity to get more involved.

“I have wanted to show more support to the club since the takeover by the Rothwell family last year and I’m really excited by this opportunity.

“It’s a perfect fit because our business is to supply equipment to all types of bars and it’s great to be associated with a part of Boundary Park which has really become a hub for supporters on a matchday.

“As a company, we work throughout the North West in providing equipment from glasswashers, dishwashers, ice makers and bottle coolers.

"We can offer outright sale or rental on a wide range of machines and this is backed with our excellent service.”

Latics Head of Commercial, Jenny Warburton-Jagger, added: “We’re thrilled to have Danny and DK Services on board by agreeing this new partnership opportunity.

“Danny is a very passionate Latics fan and his company has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years in supplying equipment in the hospitality industry throughout the region.

“The DK Services Fan Bar is already massively popular on a matchday.

"We’ve got some exciting plans for the bar moving forward and we’re delighted that Danny and his company will be a big part of this.”
