Some of the donated boots
Over the last few months Oldham Athletic's Supporters Foundation (OASF) have collected new and pre-worn children’s football boots through their BootBank programme.
OASF received grant support from Action Together Oldham to help set the programme up.
The boots will now be donated to those children whose families cannot afford to buy a pair of boots.
Lots of children in Oldham live in poverty and for many a pair of boots is an unaffordable luxury.
Over 200 boots have been collected including many new boots donated by Step Outlet on Higginshaw Lane.
Pre-worn boots have been cleaned and refurbished.
OASF have also received pledges from supporters to purchase new boots.
OASF are working with a number of local charities and local football clubs through which to donate the boots and anyone who knows of any child in need of a pair of boots please contact: Bootbank@OASF.co.uk
