Oldham chairman apologises after Challenge Cup no-show

Unfortunately the Challenge Cup didn't turn up at the Vestacare Stadium

Oldham RL Club has apologised to fans who were at the Vestacare Stadium last night waiting to be photographed with the Challenge Cup, which didn't turn up.

Said chairman Chris Hamilton: "We are sorry for the no-show. It was a wasted evening. I had to tell fans the RFL had double-booked. 

"They were patient and understanding and I thank them sincerely.

"I've spoken to several people at the RFL and dialogue will continue.

"The fans know that we are trying to recompense them via the RFL."
