In celebration of International Women's Day on Monday (March 8), Greater Manchester Police's Museum is hosting a special online talk about women in policing.
2021 is an important year for women in policing in Greater Manchester as it is 100 years since the first female police officer was sworn in.
Clara Walkden, of Oldham Borough Police, became the first known female officer with powers of arrest, taking her oath on May 9, 1921.
Find out more about some of the first women in policing by joining in with the Museum's event on Monday.
The talk will be held on Zoom and last approximately 45 mins - 1 hour, starting at approximately 2pm.
