A woman has been charged with murdering a five-year-old boy who was found dead at a house in Oldham.
Police and paramedics were called to reports of an incident at a property on Elm Road, in the Limeside area of Oldham on New Year's Eve.
Five-year-old Dylan Scanlon was pronounced dead at the scene at around 6.20pm by emergency services.
Claire Scanlon, 36, of Oldham, has been charged with his murder and will appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates' Court later.
Speaking at the time of the incident, Dylan was described as a "happy, funny, and cheeky little boy" by his father.
"Dylan will be sadly missed by all family and friends, especially his brother, who he loved and absolutely adored. I loved watching them playing with each other, looking after each other and just doing what brothers do."
