Police investigating a stabbing in Oldham last week have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A 50-year-old woman was stabbed at a property on Blanche Walk in St Mary's last Wednesday afternoon (15 June).  She was taken to hospital and her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Emergency services and the north west air ambulance attended the scene.

Today the police have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following the attack.

The man is wearing a black bubble coat, dark trousers and a hoodie, and people are being urged to contact the police if they recognise him.

We'd ask anyone that recognises the individual in the CCTV to contact us, as we would like to speak to them in connection with this incident."
