The charity day includes a Veterans' class, which consists of women, some of whom hadn't danced in over 30 years, dusting off their dance pumps for a good cause.
Most of the Aces veterans danced together 40 years ago, so it was a real blast from the past, while the current Oldham Aces dance troupe were on hand to give assistance.
The veterans' dance team resurrected the dance from their 1983 Isle of Man World Championship winners' routine, a routine not danced for 35 years.
With only five months of sporadic training due to modern busy lives, the girls performed on a blistering hot day in Southport to great effect.

While the Charity Day meant the majority of the troupes performed in fancy dress rather than traditional dress costumes, the Oldham Aces danced in full rig, with the dresses made by Ann Melia of the Collettes Dance Troupe.
Overall, the day more than exceeded its target of raising over £12,000, though the official figure is yet to be released.
