Sponsors Garratts Solicitors have announced that Hostage International’s unique event ‘Finding Solace in Survival’ has been postponed to September 2, 2020, due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Stephen Garratt, Managing Partner of Garratts, said: “While we are disappointed that the event is not going ahead as planned, we realise the importance of taking early action to try and limit the spread of Coronavirus as much as possible."
Hostage International is an independent charity which supports families affected by kidnapping and can help them to access specialist services, such as legal, financial and health professionals.
The Finding Solace in Survival event was due to take place at the Old Bailey on March 26, 2020 and would bring together former hostages Terry Waite CBE, Judith Tebbutt, and John McCarthy CBE to talk about their own experiences while held in captivity and adjusting to life following release.
